Current Exhibition
JR CHUO is currently exhibiting his latest collection at The Conduit London, as part of his solo show ‘100 Thousand Cuts of the Knife’.
‘100 Thousand Cuts of the Knife’ explores the paradox of repetition: how the same act - cutting - can produce both immense beauty and devastating impact. Each paper cut is a meditative, deliberate gesture, building toward an elaborate pattern that mirrors coral formations. Yet this same repetition mirrors human behaviours that drive environmental destruction, most notably coral bleaching, a consequence of climate change and ecological neglect.

Through a partnership with environmental NGO Coralive, 7% of every JR CHUO art sale supports coral restoration projects in the Maldives and Madagascar, helping create a real-life ‘CHUO Reef.’

'Between Order and Chaos: The Paper Cut Art of JR CHUO’
‘Despite his young age, CHUO can be described as a master of paper cutting and spray painting due to the technical detail and aesthetic maturity of his works.’
